Privacy Notice

Our Approach

Ryddle is designed with privacy in mind. Most of your game data stays on your device, and we only collect what's necessary to make the game work.

What We Handle

Game Progress Local Only

Your daily progress, guesses, stats, and settings are stored in your browser’s local storage and never leave your device.

Guesses Not Stored

Each guess is sent to our server to check it against the answer. Unusual words may also be checked with a public dictionary API (dictionaryapi.dev). We don’t store or log your guesses.

Feedback External

When you send feedback, your email and message go to Formspree, our form handling service, so we can read and reply to it.

Advertising Third Party

Ryddle is free and supported by ads served by Google AdSense. See below for how this works.

Advertising and Cookies

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent through Google’s consent message before personalised ads are shown.

Your Choices

Cookie banner: Choose “Decline” on our cookie banner to only see non-personalised ads. To change your choice later, clear this site’s data in your browser and you’ll be asked again.

Local game data: Clear your browser’s local storage for ryddle.io to reset all game data.

Feedback: Providing feedback is entirely optional.

Children

Ryddle is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children.
